Pet Services
Coping with the loss of a pet is difficult. We understand how deeply it can affect you and your family. A small memorial service for your departed animal can be a healing and cathartic act, and we can help you give your beloved pet the dignified farewell and attention that he or she deserves.
Good Shepherd Pet Crematory and Cemetery understands the deep loss of your family pet. We can assist you in making decisions regarding the peaceful placement of your pet’s remains.
You may make arrangements by phoning our office. Our cemetery is conveniently located at 5198 NC Hwy 211 in West End.
We urge you to consider prearrangements. Although no one likes to think about the inevitable, the time will come when the family pet departs. Dealing with the arrangements in a period of calm assures you time to consider the options for your pet.
All pets entrusted to Good Shepherd Pet Crematory and Cemetery are handled with the care, dignity and respect they deserve.

Cremation
- PRIVATE
Individual — or private — cremation is a process where only one pet is present in the cremation chamber, similar to the process used for human cremations. After cremation, we remove your pet's cremated remains from the chamber and return them to you in an urn of your choice.
Burial
We can assist with arrangements for burial in our cemetery or a final resting place of your choice.
Memorial Items
Prior to burial or cremation, we can create keepsakes for you to remember your pet for years to come. This includes ink paw prints, clay paw prints, or keepsakes that include locks of fur or feathers. Ask our staff for more details on what we offer.
"Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day. It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them."
